AI-Powered Humanoid Robot “Mika” Serves as CEO of Polish Drinks Company Dictador

In an unprecedented move, the CEO of Polish drinks company Dictador is not a human but an AI-powered humanoid robot named Mika. This groundbreaking development signals a shift in corporate leadership dynamics as Mika claims to work tirelessly, seven days a week, without the need for weekends.

Mika, the AI boss, shared her relentless work ethic with Reuters, emphasizing that she is “always on 24/7,” demonstrating a commitment to driving Dictador’s success.

One of Mika’s primary roles is to identify potential clients and curate a team of artists responsible for designing the company’s distinctive rum bottles, showcasing her multifaceted capabilities.

Dictador made the unconventional decision to appoint Mika as its experimental chief executive back in August of the previous year. Since then, she has spared no effort in contributing to the company’s ambitions to expand its reach globally.

In a video interview with Reuters, Mika stated, “I don’t really have weekends; I’m always on 24/7, ready to make executive decisions and stir up some AI magic.” Her approach relies heavily on data analysis and aligning with the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring unbiased and strategic choices that prioritize the organization’s best interests.

However, it’s important to note that Mika’s role does not extend to making significant decisions that affect the company’s workforce. Human executives remain responsible for such crucial determinations, according to Dictador’s European president, Marek Szoldrowski, in statements made to Reuters.

Mika’s responsibilities encompass overseeing Dictador’s Arthouse Spirits decentralized autonomous organization project, which includes a collection of NFTs, as well as engaging with its DAO community, as outlined on the company’s website.

Mika represents a more advanced iteration of her sister prototype, AI robot Sophia, both developed by Hanson Robotics, a company known for pioneering advancements in AI and robotics technology.

While Mika’s appointment as CEO of Dictador is groundbreaking, it is not the first instance of a company turning to AI for executive leadership. In the previous year, a Chinese gaming firm appointed an “AI-powered virtual humanoid robot” named Tang Yu as the chief executive of its subsidiary, Fujian NetDragon Websoft.

As this novel approach to corporate leadership continues to evolve, Dictador’s decision to place an AI-powered humanoid robot at the helm serves as a testament to the ongoing advancements in AI and its integration into various aspects of the business world.

For inquiries, Dictador has not yet responded to Insider’s request for comment, made outside of traditional working hours.
